[Flora Legacy]

I just realized, that if I have a current bugs thread, I need a fixed bugs thread, and the current bugs/fixed bugs will both be posted in these respectful threads, as well as on the bug tracking part of the website, which you can find [html]<a href="mantis">Here</a>[/html].

For the first fixed bug, I was just looking through my code, and I just happened to notice that when I call the add stat functions, THEY are not adding time to the game, I should have SOOO made the games adding of time in those functions, because it would make life SO much easier for me to code if I simply did that, and heck, it might even solve what ever problem is going on here... now I just need to figure out where in the game other than these new additions I am calling/adding to the games time... THAT will be the hard part for this current bug fixing attempt...  because due to the complexity of this game, I have coded it to be very modular, so that I can call or reference any part of code from anywhere in the game, to be able to code much less in the long run...  makes life so much easier for me, that is, when I'm not trying to find and fix bugs

YUSSS...
I found out what the problem was in the time system glitch... the first problem was exactly what I thought it would have been, a logic error... I was both telling it to add 1 minute for each spent skill point, as well as telling it to freaking add 2 minutes AND THEN multiply the game minutes by 5 in addition to adding the other 3 minutes prior to this...LOL...

I then realized, after fixing that and still having random time additions that were not supposed to be there, that due to my addition of the time adding code for each respective stat function, that there were minutes being added that should not have been, that were in varying degrees of volume...  I then looked through my code some more, AND SUCCESS...we FINALLY have a PROPERLY functioning time system, and I thouroughly tested it, and it works...however, I noticed a little tiny bug in the setting of the time upon leveling...but that is as easy as changing 2 simple digits in my code... 8)

FINALLY, one of the MAJOR bugs that had me stumped has been fixed... YAY *dances* 

now time to take a restroom break, been sitting here holding it for 2 hours now, and then to refill my cup o caffeine...

fixed an issue that was unknown to me, where if you entered invalid login information, the game did not know, for I did not change, that the character save information is in a dedicated folder per each character.  that is now fixed.

*found and fixed a bug in the cooking function of the chat system that prevented anything from being a valid entry, thus preventing the system from working at all...

*fixed an issue with the players health text not showing up properly on a consistent basis, now it shows up as it should 100% of the time...

* Fixed a bug to where the game would not properly display your health, it would show 100/ and nothing more when it should actually show 100/100....I think this was a bug I had to re-fix due to losing progress on a lost version of the game...

*fixed a bug to where if you had a longer character name, it would get cut off, and lengthened the size of the character name box

*fixed a bug to where all of the text would be in the middle of the text box and look really out of place being in the middle of the screen.

*Fixed a small amount of unneeded bloat to the program and cut out a bit of redundant code that was unnecessary.

*fixed an issue with the "flavor text" of each race not showing up when you select the respective race on the character registration page. - minor, but still nice to have fixed.

-Minor code cleanup to fix some redundant code that I never noticed before now.
-added a message box that pops up and tells you you failed to escape battle if that is the case
-added the player health string to show on the stats page for when you level up your characters stat points, figured it would be worth while to show the health so that the player can decide if it is too low.
-shortly after adding the previous bug fix, I realized that it would benefit if the health updated to the spent skill points, and thus I added a chunk of code to update it as points are spent on endurance.

-a slight bug in the battler system, would not display the ACCURATE enemy health if you used the aggressive attack method, it would always show an outdated and incorrect enemy health string due to a missing bit of code. that has now been fixed and it will always display the CURRENT enemy health, regardless of the attack method you choose.
-more mild code cleanup to tidy up my messy code and get rid of a bit of redundant code that was unnecessary.
-decided to remove some unnecessary message boxes for the battle simulator...decided after some input by someone willing to test it, that that was more of a nuisance than a nicety.
-fixed a bug in the food system where for some odd reason that went unnoticed, I had an apple set to give the healing properties of alcohol...not sure how that one missed my sights.

OK....so I was testing my game as it stands currently to see what operating systems that it runs on, and while in the process of testing it on windows xp I noticed an issue that I'm surprised I didn't notice prior to now, that is, no mater what you select for the race of the character, it always has the human character type selected.

that is now fixed, and I'm glad I caught that because that would have influenced future versions of the game had I not noticed that yesterday. the code was flawless, it was a mere issue of missing code, meaning that no mater what you clicked, the code never changed due to one line of required code not being there till now.

not so much a fix, per sey, buuuut...
-tidying up the design of my code on the pages/forms that the game uses
and
-fixed a bug/issue on my end that prevented the user from selecting the only other available class to play as in the current testing version, that class being the orc.

found out that I had missing code in the current version of the game, that prevented the game from recognizing when you'd selected the orc class on the login page....no mater what you selected, which currently its only possible to select the orc or the human class, but no matter what you'd selected, it thought you'd selected human, and would occasionally force log you in as a human character if you had tried to log in with the same username as another pre-existing character regardless of class

that issue is now fixed, and I'm working on tidying up the forms/windows right now
